Hi, my name is Robert Needham and before starting my online business I had a professional career as an architect, which later led me into construction and property development. 

Now this should be fulfilling work, right? But for a long time I felt like something wasn’t quite right, like something was missing. 

I lost my drive. I no longer felt fulfilled or like I had a purpose. I didn’t feel like I was in control of my own destiny. In fact, I thought it was firmly in the hands of other people and I didn’t like it!

I didn’t feel passionate about my work, and having decided to start a family I had a burning desire to spend more time at home. I didn’t want to miss out on the early years of my children to spend my time on the road, in meetings or worse…networking. 

Having spent 7 years training at university and then my career in construction and property, I thought my only way out was to start my own consultancy business. 

But I knew it would be hard work, long hours, networking to earn clients and ultimately I would be trading my time for money – which is exactly what I was trying to escape from and was unlikely to give me the freedom I wanted to start a family. 

So, I thought I would have to do something completely different. 

I thought if I wanted to make a change and do something different I would have to retrain!

This is when I first learned about online business. 

I learned that there is a growing number of people who are creating a life of time, geographical and financial freedom through the internet. And these people were from all backgrounds and ages!
